Soft mellow sounds compliment ambient guitar. I’m not usually a fan of ambient music but this has a feel to it that’s catchy and ominous. A perfect release to fall asleep to.

Bergen – Spring Interval EP
Awesome techno, popping beats with smooth synths. This set of tracks really has a ‘snap’ to it, this is the best find in quite a while. Sort of a loungy, housey feel, if you need something to pick you up then throw this in the mp3 player.
Obsibilo – Movie on the Moon – subnet014
Jazzy electro music. The vibe set up by this release will have you mellowed out and tapping your toes. Snappy and smooth at the same time. Great release, great netlabel as well. Excellent basslines by this artist also.
Terribly interesting web show
Afterworld – a web based show about a guy who wakes up all alone… literally. Where did everyone go? An interesting style of animation, with a narrated storyline. Real interesting stuff here.

Hamsa Lila
Is Hamsa Lila Trance? Or Rock? Or World? A little of all three, an acoustic band that does some jazzy trance numbers that will take you somewhere in between the earth and clouds. Ethnic instruments combine with modern dance beats and wonderfully smooth vocals that speak to that mysterious part of your mind that likes to adventure to exotic locations while you’re asleep. Give that bit of your brain what it wants – it wants some Hamsa Lila.

I became an instant fan of these guys when I saw this video. Watch the way everyone on the train loosens up by the end of the song. Observe how a normally boring train ride home from work turns into a micro-party, even the complete herbs in the train eventually crack a smile, everyone whips out there blackberrys and camera phones.
