For the new year, always keep in mind – when you run into someone, the type of person who you consider a dork / geek / retard / inexperienced / whatever, just remember – that person still knows something that you don’t know. There is always something in the other guys brain that he could teach you, if you are open and receptive, no matter how different or inexperienced he is.

Lost

I have a horrible confession: I like Lost. My wife got me hooked on it, and it is interesting I must say. There are so many story lines going on at the same time, and they’re all really wierd story lines. You have your 47 (47! – Beth???) people stranded on an island due to a plane crash, with all the interactions between the different personality types (the doctor, the mysterious woman, the jerk, the rock star, etc) PLUS: there’s something out in the jungle. Something big. No, something HUGE. It tears down trees. On top of that there are polar bears on the island and a strange man in a suit who hangs out at the treeline and disappears into the jungle every time someone sees him. Also, theres a distress call emanating from the island thats been playing for sixteen years. Like I said – wierd. This is the best show I’ve seen since The X-Files. Now you may be way ahead of me here, but understand – I’ve never actaully seen the show before this week. My wife ordered the dvd’s from Netflix and I’m only four episodes into the series. But rest assured, I will catch up. Alright, I’m going to go watch some more Lost now…
