Today I was watching Alex Kilbee on YouTube (aka The Photographic Eye), and he was talking about the photographer William Eggleston. William once complained to his wife that everything around the house was ugly, to which she replied “Well, photograph the ugly.” He did just that. He captured the boring, the mundane. Everyday scenes with details that you’d never notice unless you were specifically looking for them
I thought I would experiment with emulating William Eggelston’s style, so I took some photographs around my house. Here are my attempts at the Eggleston style.
