Update: IE is killing me.

I just checked out the site from within Internet Explorer. I must apologize to IE users, the site is completely broken in IE. Until I cantrack down the problem(s), bahgheera’s orbit is best viewed with Firefox. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Stupid blog tricks

Here’s a neat-o toy for the orbit – the orbit category map. It’s one of those tag cloud type things, not very useful but pretty to look at. I’ve been super busy lately, but things are chilled out again so beware – music will be coming up soon!

Update

So by now, you have to have noticed. I’ve done away with my own hand coded php blog software. Yes, it’s gone. So if you registered before, I’ll try to get your account transferred and a password change email sent out. Thanks for bearing with me.

So what did I replace the software with? WordPress. A ready made blog software package that is themeable, configurable, and handles everything I want it to. Now instead of spending time wading through an endless sea of php code, I’ll spend that time looking for new music. So enjoy the new style enjoy the music.

Happenings

Those of you who use Internet Explorer will have noticed by now that there are lots of broken images all over the site. 🙁 That’s what I get for not checking the site out in IE before making changes. For now, know that the broken images are simply articles that have no image associated with them.

Some good news, bahgheera’s orbit now has a search function. You will notice at the top of the page, a search box; it is tuned to produce results that favor music on the internet, so use it to find what you want. Happy hunting.

Update

Uh oh. The hard drive with all the website stuff is gone… disappeared. It may be a week or two before I get it back up to copy everything to a new HD, but stay tuned. More good music is on the way.

News

Alright, my internet is back up. After a week of slogging through linux live cd’s and windows tcp/ip diagnosis tools, I finally fixed it.

News

Arrgh! My internet connection is down. I’m having to surf the net with an Ubuntu live cd… this is really frustrating. Seems my network card has bitten the dust, which has caused windows to puke and die. If anyone know how to repair windows sockets, let me know!
